that's right, this post is gonna be on an argumentative type of thing. More like a spill of my thoughts to put it simply.
So, Judge versus Misjudge.
I believe you all have heard the term "judge" many many times or even used it too. Like "don't judge me", "why people judge me just because..." or "I hate people who judge.."
And then again, how many of you all have not judged before? whether or not the judgement is accurate.
To me, Judging means to make a conclusion or impression on something or someone. Example, "He is a kind man", "He is very cheerful", "she is very upset because her dog died", or "she is such a flirt"
And, Misjudge to me means making conclusions or impressions on something or someone which is wrong or different from reality.
Using the same example, if someone says "He is a kind man and he is cheerful", that's making a judgment since an impression is made in that someone's mind. If the man is really kind and cheerful, then it would remain as a judgment and people would feel alright or happy about this accurate judgment. However, if in reality, the man is actually a menace and always bears grudges, then the statement passed off would be considered as a misjudgment. And as you know, people would start saying that it is rubbish, or that the someone who made the comment is being judgy and stuff.
The reason for me clarifying my thoughts on judgement and misjudgment is that I think many people, whether teens, children, or adults, misuse the term "judge" a lot. Making the term "judge" seem to be a very unpleasant word. When in actual case, the thing that they dislike is Misjudgments made about them, because it twists the truths. Like if a girl enjoys flirting with any good looking guy she sees, and someone says she is a flirt, what's wrong? Just because people don't like hearing nasty or negative comments made about themselves, doesn't mean others can't make impressions of them.
