Question to start off: on a scale of 1-10 (1 being least and 10 being most) how satisfied are you with your current life, possessions, achievements, and people around you?
"enough" is a subjective term which varies from people to people. some may have $2/day and think that it is enough, while some may think $20/day is then enough.
by analyzing how much is "enough" to you (not only in monetary terms), you can see how easily/difficultly satisfied you are. whether or not you have already attain it.
of course, it doesn't mean that if you are not easily satisfied or contented, you are bad or faulty. vice-versa.
pros and cons:
the thing is for those who can't be satisfied easily, you are probably just being ambitious and have high expectations. This allows you to keep working and thriving for your goal, and thus if the rate of success is good, you will have more than others, which is good of course. however although the after effect is a really good and proud feeling, in the midst of fighting for more, you may feel tired, unhappy, depressed, or frustrated, and i believe that is something negative. Besides the emotional tensions, you may neglect people around you during the process which may cause their unhappiness and may eventually decide to leave.
As for those who are easily satisfied, when you attain something, or already possess something that no longer/won't pose a trouble to you, you will not ask for more. that leaves you with lesser hassle to go on fighting for more and that you will have leisure time to spend of what you have interest in, giving you a happy and carefree mind and life. However, what you achieved or have will be lesser than others (unless things are granted to you without the need for you to work for).
To decide on which is better, it all depends on their worth in your eyes. if you think your goals are more worthy than your emotions, then go ahead. if you think your emotions are more worthy than the rest, so be it.
for me, being happy is more important. you only live once.
